Kimber was founded with the sole
purpose of building the finest classic sporting rifles
ever offered in America. Knowledgeable riflemen were quick
to try one, liked what they saw and spread the word.
Today, Kimber rifles are favored by many of the world's
most accomplished hunters and shooters, and limited
production keeps people standing in line to buy them.
Kimber rifles offer a combination of features that set
them apart from all other production brands. Barrels,
chambers and triggers hold critical match grade dimensions
for accuracy. Pillar and glass bedding ensures both
accuracy and strength. Walnut stocks are finished and
checkered by hand, and Kevlar/carbon fiber stocks are the
finest available on a production rifle. As with Kimber
pistols, all work is done inside the Kimber factory-the
only way to ensure quality.
All
Kimber rifles feature match grade barrels and chambers,
and are made entirely in the Kimber factory. Rigid quality
control ensures exceptional accuracy. All actions are
pillar bedded for strength and accuracy. Rifles except Pro
Varmint, SVT and LongMaster VT also have glass bedding.
Match grade triggers break clean at 3.5-4 pounds. Kimber
rifles all feature a positive 3-position wing safety with
serrated lever, without question the finest design ever
offered. Full-length one-piece Mauser claw extractors lock
cartridges in position for flawless feeding and
extraction. This design is simply superior to common push
feed actions.
All Kimber pistols in centerfire
calibers have a Loaded Chamber Indicator Port.™ When a
round is chambered and light is available, the shell
casing should be visible through the slot at the rear of
the barrel hood. All slides and frames are paired in the
early stages of production and travel through the factory
together, ensuring optimum fitting of every part.
This is one reason Kimber pistols
have unequaled performance and dependability. Custom
features like high ride beavertail grip safety, extended
thumb safety and Commander-style hammer are part of every
Kimber pistol. All parts are made inside the Kimber
factory, ensuring quality control. Pistols in the TLE and
Warrior families feature three dot (green) Meprolight®
night sights.
TLE pistols have the sleek Kimber
Low Profile Combat™ sights, while the Warriors have the
Tactical Wedge™ design. Warrior and Desert Warrior pistols
have Kimber G-10 grip panels and a traditional lanyard
loop. Other standard Warrior features include a short or
military-length guide rod, along with a bumped and grooved
beavertail grip safety. Warrior and Desert Warrior pistols
wear the KimPro II® finish. Both tough and
self-lubricating, KimPro II has outstanding resistance to
chemicals, moisture, salt and UV light that can break down
other finishes.
